How to Calculate Grades in Microsoft Excel [Basic Ways!!!!

Disclaimer:
The Cell Range or the Cell will differ depending on how many input you have so, the cell that are portrayed in my Video are just sample of the Grading System I created for 20 Students!!

Basic Formulas in Calculating the Grades in Excel


PART 001: CALCULATING THE TOTAL PER GRADE COMPONENT
Officially Speaking, the Total of Each Grade Component, are almost the Same, it is calculated as:
=SUM(Cell Range), where;
Cell Range- The Cell Ranges, where raw scores are inputed.

 

PART 002: CALCULATING THE PERCENTAGE SCORE (PS)
This is actually calculated, as:
=SUM(A1/B2*C3), where:
A1- is the cell which the Total Possible Score is placed.
B2-Calculated Score in the Previous Cell the Total Possible Score of the Student
C3-the Exact Total Score or the Total Item Score of each Grade Component

 

PART 003: CALCULATING THE WEIGHTED SCORE
This is actually differs depending on the nature of the subject, you may refer for the Grading System of DepEd, but here in these Video, we're using the Grading System of STI College of San Pablo City Campus.

 

PART 004: CALCULATING THE ACTUAL GRADE
This is actually calculated, as:
=SUM(A1+A2+A3), where:
A1- is the Cell where the first Weigthed Score Place (of the First Grade Component)
A2- is the Cell where the second Weighted Score Place (of the Second Grade Component)
A3- is the Cell where the thrid Weighted Score Place (of the Third Grade Component)

 

PART 005: CALCULATING THE EQUIVALENT GRADE
This is actually calculated, as:
=FLOOR(IF(A1<60,60+(A1/4),75+(A1-60)/1.6),1), where:
A1- is the Cell where the Actual Grade is Placed, and ready to be transmuted.
